Spend a day exploring Gold Country in the heart of the Monashee wilderness, visit historical sites and view artists at work, view fine crafts and wilderness art; take a walk on a sculpture trail in a forest under a canopy of fall colors; visit the upper reaches of the Kettle River where you will pan for gold with a real prospector in his quest for clues to the veins of gold on Monashee Mountain, all in the presence of fantastic autumn colors. Depart from downtown Vernon at 9am Visit historical viewpoints and attractions Guided tour and demonstration at Coyote Creek Art Village Studio and Sculpture Trail Visit the Cherryville Artisan Shop Spruce Grove for Lunch - Goldpanning Demonstration on the Kettle Valley River - Stops at placer sites and viewpoints, return past Echo Lake - Back to Vernon . Tour length: 8 hours.
Meals: Lunch is included at the Spruce Grove Café near the Monashee Summit. Snacks are included as well. Dinner is an option in Lumby Heritage Village or Vernon.
