Explore the Canadian wilderness in an enchanted natural world of forest, fresh water and vistas in the Monashee, Gaelic for Mountains of Peace. You will hike and bike through interior rainforests on your way to spectacular viewpoints. Canoe a freshwater lake and relax on the beach at the edge of a cedar forest.You will have your dinner cooked over an open fire and spend a night in a beautiful heritage Canadian cabin overlooking a lake before you travel to an Art Village with a Sculpture Trail in the Forest. Create your own piece of art to take home, enjoy an evening of storytelling and a night in an authentic Tipi. This is an unforgettable wilderness experience that includes a relaxing and active adventure, walking and exploring your creative side.
Activities:
Day 1 Pickup 9am in Downtown Kelowna Scenic North Okanagan shuttle to Vernon for pickup at accommodation - Shuttle to Lumby Heritage Village for brunch at the Blue Ox Pub Arrive at Cozy Cabins at 1pm Explore self-guided hikes to viewpoints Dinner with a vegetarian option cooked over an open fire Overnight in a cozy cabin overlooking a lake.
Day 2 After breakfast depart on the shuttle to the Camels Hump (Coyote Sleeping) for a guided hike and bike tour complete with picnic lunch and trail snacks Return to Cozy Cabins for free time and relaxing that can include swimming, hiking, biking and canoeing. Dinner at Cozy Cabins with an evening of bocci ball, Frisbee and other games while you relax around the campfire.
Day 3 Breakfast at Cozy Cabins Shuttle to Coyote Creek Art Village A guided tour of the art galleries and studios - Walk the Sculpture Trail in the Forest then Lunch at the Tree Planters Outdoor Coffee House Participate in an afternoon and evening art workshop Dinner cooked outdoors and storytelling around the campfire overnight in a Tipi.
Day 4 Pack up your artwork for departure by 9am Breakfast at the Blue Ox Bistro Arrival in Vernon by 12 noon, Kelowna by 12:45pm.
Meals: Brunch and dinner are provided for Day 1, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner as well as snacks on Day 2 and 3, Breakfast on Day 4.
Note: Bedding is not included.
