Llama Trekking, Canoeing & Wilderness Art
Two days of finding your creative side with wilderness inspiration to go!
Explore your creative side immersed in nature while you visit hidden valleys and the sacred vistas of the Monashee foothills, you'll canoe Echo Lake a magical place deep in an interior rainforest where you will view giant cottonwoods while Kokanee Salmon feed in this crystal clear lake, you'll trek the Blue Springs Plateau with Llamas carrying your photography and painting gear though an area abundant with eco-systems and wildlife. Discover unparalled views of four great watersheds including the Shuswap and Okanagan as well as the snowcapped Monashee Mountains to the east and the ancient volcanic outcropping the first people called Coyote Sleeping. You'll trek through a sculpture trail created in a wilderness forest under a canopy of shade and spectacular colors and arrive at an Art Village observing artists at work and where you will create your own art amidst great food, sharing and storytelling. You'll spend a night in a Tipi or Earth Shelter and you'll finish your second day packing your original masterpiece for home. This inspirational two days will bridge your spirit with your soul!
Activities:
Day 1 - Pickup from your accomodation in Vernon at 8am for a one hour scenic shuttle to Echo Lake for a canoe trip and snacks, then shuttle around Coyote Sleeping (Camels Hump) to Coyote Creek Art Village where Llamas await for a hike on the Blue Springs Plateau to view four valleys and all four directions, learn to sketch outdoors, have a picnic lunch on the plateau then hike down to the Art Village for a tour of the studios, gallery and sculpture trail, you can then make art from clay while dinner cooks on an open fire. Storytelling and overnight in a Tipi.
Day 2 Breakfast and an all day art workshop where visitors paint or sculpt art they take home with them. Includes lunch and shuttle back to Vernon arriving at 4pm.
Meals: On Day 1 a picnic lunch and snacks are included along with an evening barbeque. On Day 2 breakfast and a deli lunch are included
