The perfect weekend escape to the Canadian wilderness and an enchanted natural world of forest, fresh water and vistas in the Monashee, Gaelic for the Mountains of Peace. You will hike and bike through interior rainforests on your way to spectacular viewpoints. Canoe a freshwater lake and relax on a beach on the edge of a cedar forest. You will have your dinner cooked over an open fire and spend two nights in a beautiful heritage Canadian cabin overlooking a lake. This is an unforgettable wilderness experience that includes active adventure, walking in the forest and relaxation, plus gets you back in time for work Monday morning.
Activities:
Day 1 Friday pick up in Kelowna at 5pm, 6 pm in Vernon Scenic shuttle to Lumby for dinner at the Blue Ox Pub Shuttle through Creighton Valley to Cozy Cabins Overnight in a Cabin overlooking a lake.
Day 2 After breakfast you will hike and bike the Camels Hump to a spectaular viewpoint where you will have a picnic lunch. Return to cozy Cabins for swimming, hiking, biking and canoeing with lots of rest and relaxation Enjoy a stir-fry dinner cooked over an open fire Overnight in a cabin.
Day 3 After breakfast, hike to a vista overlooking Echo Lake then enjoy a downhill bike ride through Echo Lake Provincial Park and past giant Cottonwoods Enjoy a swim in the lake and return back to Cozy Cabins for an afternoon cook-out - Depart on the shuttle back to Vernon and Kelowna by 3pm on Sunday.
Meals: Dinner are provided for Day 1, Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner as well as snacks on Day 2, Breakfast on Day 3.
